• 1985-1990: Tenant at 3 Gray's Inn Place (now 3 Verulam Buildings).
  
  
• General Commercial Law practice, including banking, commercial fraud, corporate insolvency, sale of goods, agency, professional negligence and contractual disputes.

Academic appointments

• Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford for three years, and since 2000 CUF Fellow and Tutor in Law at Harris Manchester College, Oxford.
  
  
• Louise has taught a variety of subjects, and now teaches Corporate Finance, Commercial Law, Contract Law and Roman law
  
  
• 2002-2006 Consultant to Law Commission in relation to its project on reform of Registration of Security Interests: Company Charges and Property other than land.
