The
set is housed in historic buildings, but the facilities available
to barristers and to clients are very much up to date. Dedicated
conference rooms are available. The buildings are air-conditioned.
Instructions are often sent by e-mail or fax. Barristers frequently
advise by telephone or video conference or travel to clients'
premises for meetings.
Although the high value nature of much of the work done by more
senior members of chambers means that their court and arbitration
work is often done in London, all members of chambers also appear
in courts all over the country.
Practice
Managers
3
Verulam Buildings is managed by a friendly and efficient team
of practice managers who will be pleased to help you with
any queries. Their role includes advising clients on the types
of work undertaken by members of chambers and the fees they
charge. They will help with the allocation of work to appropriate
members, as well as liaising with court officials in connection
with court hearings.
The practice managers will negotiate fees in a straightforward
and transparent manner. A policy of avoiding double booking
has been in place for many years.
In order to provide the best service, members of chambers
are each looked after by two practice managers. As a result
clients can be confident that they can contact someone who
is fully up to date.
Details of the practice managers are below and we invite you
to contact our Senior Practice Manager, Nicholas Hill, or
one of his team for further information.
Whilst our practice managers are highly regarded by clients
and have earned a reputation for providing a high level of
service, we always welcome feedback and would invite you to
contact Nicholas Hill in the first instance to pass on any
comments.
