Christopher is building a general commercial practice, in line with Chambers' profile.

During pupillage, Christopher had the privilege of working with his pupil supervisors (Richard Edwards, Jonathan Davies-Jones, Matthew Hardwick and Michael Lazarus) and other members of Chambers with a range of matters. He gained experience across the breadth of general commercial law, including in the fields of banking, financial services, contractual disputes, professional negligence, civil fraud, insolvency, insurance, company law, arbitration and conflict of laws. Christopher assisted on a number of reported cases including: Accidia Foundation v Simon C. Dickinson Ltd [2010] EWHC 3058 (Ch) (a $1 million claim for an undisclosed commission received by an art dealer arising out of the sale of a drawing attributed to Leonardo da Vinci) and Belmont Park Investments PTY Limited v BNY Corporate Trustee Services Limited and Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc [2011] UKSC 38 (arising out of the Lehman Brothers insolvency, in which the Supreme Court gave guidance on the anti-deprivation principle).

Christopher is regularly instructed to appear at interim and final hearings in the County Courts, with particular emphasis on banking disputes and debt claims (including consumer credit, PPI, guarantees), and at interim hearings in the High Court. He has been instructed as part of a counsel team on a matter involving a $200 million worldwide freezing order in the High Court (led by Andrew Hochhauser QC). He is currently instructed on a multimillion dollar jurisdictional dispute in the High Court concerning allegations of fraudulent misrepresentations connected with Russia (led by Michael Lazarus).
