Alexia has a broad commercial practice in line with Chambers' profile. In addition to general commercial law, Alexia has gained experience in the fields of banking (including PPI and Consumer Credit claims), financial services, commercial fraud, insolvency, company, professional negligence, intellectual property and insurance law. A number of the cases she has worked on both as a pupil and as a tenant have had a significant international aspect. Alexia regularly appears as an advocate in interim applications and trials in the High Court and County Court, and has experience of arbitration proceedings.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Alexia worked as a Commercial Manager, and then a Commercial, Legal and Regulatory Consultant for a leading telecoms firm. She led contract negotiations and drafted contracts for the provision of IT facilities to the UK & European financial services sectors. Alexia was also involved in dissolving a subsidiary, and advising generally on legal and regulatory issues affecting the business.
