- Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) 1993; Chartered Arbitrator; Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (CIA) 1998 (Distinction).
- Receives regular appointments under the Rules of ICC, CPR (New York), LCIA, CIA, LMAA and ad hoc appointments in commercial and international disputes. First lady full time member of LMAA. She regularly sits as an arbitrator, both as sole and as a member of a panel of three and frequently as presiding arbitrator.
- Commercial barrister with emphasis in the arbitration field since 1980. She has sat as arbitrator since 1992 and as mediator since 1996. She gave up practice as an advocate in 2003 in favour of sitting solely as arbitrator and mediator and this now forms the entirety of her practice. The majority of her work over the past 30 years has been in the commercial and international arena.
- Specialises in maritime law, international trade and transportation, insurance & reinsurance, oil & gas, energy, banking and international finance, joint ventures, distributorship and franchise, Information technology and telecommunications and all types of commercial and international disputes.
- Cases handled are often substantial being high value, cross-border or multi-party disputes. Many involve technical issues requiring detailed expert evidence of a trade, engineering or scientific nature.
- As a barrister, Elizabeth has appeared frequently before the Commercial and Admiralty Courts, and in arbitration before the LMAA (London Maritime Arbitrators' Association) and the Commodity Houses (eg LME - London Metal Exchange, GAFTA, FOSFA, RSA etc) and in insurance and reinsurance arbitrations.
